I’ve been here, and I have to tell you that owner Cheryl and her better half Kirk’s hospitality is amazingly memorable! Their behavior towards my pregnant sister was truly the best part! This is really a perfect place for a Florida babymoon.

And, yes, the complimentary food was so tasty and fulfilling! The hotel has its history dating back to the 1920s, so you can witness the old architecture with modernity as it’s now professionally taken care of by iTrip Palm Beach.

Our villa was called the Sundance North Suite, which features a living room, a library, and a spacious bed. Outside, there was a saltwater swimming pool surrounded by palm trees with hanging hammocks. So, you get all the freedom!

6. From stand-up paddling boarding to kayaking in Key Largo

Before the little baby girl joins your family, I recommend having a wonderful romantic time with your partner in Key Largo—walking by the shores, fishing, snorkeling, or paddleboarding. Key Largo is a perfect destination for a babymoon in Florida.

You know, such activities are good for your baby bump! I saw pictures of my 4-month-old preggo sister snorkeling at Pennecamp Park, and her friends kayaking on the other side.

She told me the snorkel tour was just $9 for two people, which I find quite affordable! Even I did kayaking here years later, which was quite adventurous and affordable. It cost me $17 an hour for a double kayak. I saw a manatee, which made me so happy! You can also soak up some Vitamin D at the park.

7. Have an LED-illuminated kayak experience at night as you go inside the mangroves tunnels of the Florida Keys

We’ve all heard about kayaking in the Florida Keys, but what’s special? Key West Paddle hosts night kayaking. LED lights illuminate the kayaks, and the bottom of the kayaks is all glass. As you move, the lights glow, and you can see the marine life under you! Now, tell me, isn’t it unique?

8. Romantic babymoon experience at Key West seeing the sun sipping below the horizon as you sail

Key West has always been famous for its vibrant sky colors, and being a Floridian, I wanted to surprise my father on his birthday with an unforgettable memory. So, I booked a Key West Cruises Sunset Sail which offers a different sunset experience!

It was there that we met a couple, Abby and Hummas who were 19 weeks pregnant and sailed in the same boat, enjoying the magical experience. The crew members are extremely knowledgeable and professional; hence, by no chance, you’ll feel worried!

Our experience was full of laughter, smiles, and breathtaking views. It’s a two-hour journey where you get complimentary drinks, veggie crudité, crackers, and cheese. There are varied options available in the drink sections.

9. Lead a strong connection with your child through a prenatal workshop in Gainesville

I cannot emphasize enough how important exercises, especially prenatal yoga, are for pregnant women. Prenatal yoga aims to calm your hormones, correct your body postures, and help you feel a sense of community with like-minded people. Yoga workshop here is one of the most pregnancy-friendly activities to do in Florida.

When you do the Cat-Cow Pose, it stretches your spine and opens up your chest. The Warrior Pose strengthens your legs and poses like the Gate Pose, Legs Up the Wall Pose, and many others have their own advantages.

You can take part at GHF Women (Thornebrook Village) in Gainesville, where they charge $38 for three classes. You can also book a complimentary yoga class and understand it before joining. The experts are experienced, and you’ll really feel good about the support they offer!

Foodies, you’re in Florida, one of the great coastal destinations in America, and if you are planning for your babymoon to experience some great healthy, fresh seafood, then welcome to Peace River Seafood at Punta Gorda.

I want to add that while Florida has plenty of great seafood grill spots, Peace River Seafood has always been my favorite for serving the best blue crabs and shrimp platters. It’s a roadside place that brings fish from Peace River and the Charlotte Harbor, and by its taste, you can tell!

Best Cities to Go on a Babymoon in Florida With Older Children

11. St. Augustine

St. Augustine, in North Florida, has always been the most romantic destination for couples and would-be parents. Walking hand in hand on the brick-paved streets of one of the oldest cities in the United States, exploring galleries, enjoying restaurants, and taking pictures with the Spanish colonial architecture in the background are some memorable things to do here!

I can tell you that St. George Street is a place where your older children will love to stroll. Your wife will love shopping from the quirky shops. Aviles Street is very artsy and you’ll love clicking pictures. You can book a tour at St. Augustine Distillery or enjoy soaking in the history of Castillo de San Marcos.

Tip: If it’s the month of December, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting St. Augustine because it celebrates Christmas in a truly unique way

13. Jupiter

I remember, with my pregnant sister, elderly mother, Keilvin, and two young siblings, we reached an affordable beach town in Florida called Jupiter, which is north of West Palm in South Florida, for a pregnancy photoshoot! Hence, if you’re in search of an offbeat beach babymoon destination in Florida, Jupiter is the place!

We came to Coral Cover for both beach and rocky presence. It is a small beach but extremely beautiful and unique. However, I want to remind you that there are small rocks hidden in the sand hence be very careful while walking. I stumbled so many times!

14. St. Petersburg

If you’re someone who loves walking the streets, checking out art, museums, garden spaces, and newly decorated places in Florida, welcome to St. Petersburg. It sits on the west coast of Central Florida, making it an ideal destination for couples to explore.

My favorite place is spending time at St. Pete Pier, which is the best spot to enjoy the gorgeous view of Tampa Bay! It’s free to enter and has so many things to do. There’s a fishing spot, a lot of vendors selling food, and the perfect place for a walk with your loved ones, or just sit and enjoy!

Tips:

  • If you want to escape the cold winter air of December, St. Petersburg is the best place to enjoy the warm climate. You should check out my other blog on the warmest beaches to explore in Florida in January and February!
  • For day trips, you can plan a visit to Siesta Key

15. Amelia Island

How can you miss out on Amelia Island, the most romantic getaway island in Florida for expected parents? The atmosphere here is so romantic that your babymoon memories are bound to be unforgettable!

You can start your day by having breakfast at Sunrise Café, then soak in some Vitamin D, and stop at Fort Clinch State Park in the evening to click some great photos.

If you want to be at the beach, you can indulge in activities like kayaking among mangroves or riding horseback. However, I recommend skipping horseback riding as you’re pregnant.

Babymoon Travel Tips

The main reason your parents, your husband, and your whole want you on a babymoon celebration isn’t just for relaxation; it’s about reconnecting with your partner in a whole new mind space!

It’s a journey to unwind, make memories, and bask in the joy of anticipation, ensuring that you embark on the adventure of parenthood with a refreshed bond. Because there is no denying that as the child comes in, your life changes!

So, as you celebrate, it’s important for you to take care of yourself and your unborn baby. Here are some tips:

  • Rest and relaxation is your only priority
  • Taking the smooth road rather than the adventurous one. I would say that it’s better to take the road more traveled than less traveled.
  • Celebration can be budget-friendly, like spending two days in a hotel and exploring its property. That simple!
  • No beer, no wine, no alcohol, no smoking, and no tasting with varied food. I heard a story of a pregnant couple getting serious allergy issues after having crabs

FAQ: Babymoon Destinations in Florida

1. When is the best time during pregnancy to plan a babymoon in Florida?

A. The ideal period for a pregnant lady to travel and arrange her babymoon celebrations is the fourth, fifth, or sixth month, specifically during the 13th to 28th week. This marks the middle period of pregnancy when the discomfort in the mother’s body has significantly reduced, and she feels much happier with her baby bump slowly emerging!

2. Are there maternity-friendly activities and attractions in Florida for babymooners?

A. Yes, there are so many maternity-friendly activities to do in Florida, such as lying down on the beach and reading a book, going for a night kayaking experience with your husband, fishing with your father, attending a museum with your mother, or just having some ‘me’ time at the spa. The blog is all about these activities!

3. What is the ideal duration for a babymoon trip to Florida?

A. An ideal babymoon trip typically lasts a week, or a maximum of 10 days, but this entirely depends on your budget and planning. Some of my friends opted for a weekend getaway to celebrate their babymoon, while my sister chose to take several one-day trips to five to seven different places. However, a 7-day trip seems ideal because you can return home and regain the comfort of your own couch. It’s true that there’s no place more comforting than your own home!
